Events Frequently Asked Questions


1.  Does the Henry Clay have an approved caterer list?

The Silver Spoon is the exclusive caterer for the building.

2.  Where is parking located?

The Clay Commons public garage is located directly behind The Henry Clay with access from Chestnut St. Event parking in the garage can be coordinated with Norma Britton at PARC, (502) 574-3817. There are also surface parking lots located directly across from The Henry Clay on Third and Chestnut Streets. Together these options offer over 900 parking spaces.

3.  Is smoking allowed at the facility?

No, as of July 1, 2007, Louisville retail and event spaces are required to be smoke free by law.

4.  Can I bring my own alcohol to the Henry Clay?

No, The Silver Spoon is the exclusive alcohol provider for The Henry Clay.

5.  Do you provide table linens?

Table linens and flatware are coordinated through The Silver Spoon.

6.  Do you provide audio visual and lighting equipment during events?

C&H Audio Visual is the preferred audio visual provider for the Henry Clay. If the client works with another audio visual provider arrangements must be made with the event coordinator in advance. No other audio visual provider is allowed into the building without arrangements with the event coordinator.

7.  Is an onsite event manager available during the event?

Yes, a representative from the event site or building caterer will be onsite during events.

8.  What does my rental fee include?

The rental fee includes tables, chairs, housekeeping, and four hours of rental time (five hours for weddings).

9.  Are coat check services and valet services provided for events?

Coat check services can be provided at an additional cost. Arrangements can be made with a valet service provider if valet services are requested.
